Sordidus et imparatos!  -  The Red Barrows are a prize-winning low-level Aerobatic Display Team. They repeated their success at the 2011 Blackberry Carnival, in Axbridge, Somerset. On our first outing we took 1st prize for Wackiest entry & 2nd place Walking Entry! The Wackiest entry was the Tony Welch Memorial Quaich & the team were really proud to win this prize. In 2011, again we won the Wackiest entry & the Tony Welch Memorial Quaich came back to where it belongs…

Amazingly, Axbridge & villages beyond the Cheddar Valley can’t get enough of the Red Barrows & we’ve been asked back to a number of events in 2012 & not to apologise! So far we’ve done the Somerset Showcase, the Brent Knoll fun day, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (raised £42) & cued up for the Axbridge School Fete, Cheddar Beer Festival, the Axbridge fun day, Weare Flower Show & the Axbridge Carnival (where we plan to excel!). In 2012 we’ll raise money for our chosen charity, The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance

In 2011, the ‘season’ started off with the Royal Wedding bash where we gave wheelbarrow rides (raising £91 for Help for Heroes)!, then Axbridge Showcase, then Cheddar Beer Festival (Cheddar Ales generously donated £100 to us for Help for Heroes), at the Axbridge 1st School Fete (raising £28), at the 2011 Axbridge Fun Day (raising £55), at the 2011 Weare Flower Show, at the Brent Knoll Fund Day & at the 2011 Axbridge Carnival, the ‘Alan Ham Memorial Flight’. The final sortie for 2011 was our return for 2011 Santa in the Square, where Santa arrived in an unconventional manner!

In 2010 we attended the Blackberry Carnival & Santa In The Square.
