Welcome to the King John's Museum

Please feel free to explore our website and keep up to date with the latest news via our 'latest news link' above. We welcome visitors to the King John's Hunting Lodge, in the centre of Medieval Axbridge.

We can cater for groups outside the opening times. Appointments are neccessary for school visits, please use our contact form. We recommend that all groups book in advance, even if your visit is during our opening hours.


As you explore our website you will find out more of the history of this 450 year old building. We trust you will wish to explore and experience this wonderful building for yourselves. The building belongs to the National Trust, the Museum is run by The Axbridge and District Museum Trust, a group of dedicated local volunteers.

Entrance to the museum is FREE, but we rely on the donations from our visitors, Friends & the public.
