The season begins Friday 1st April. In Season the Museum will be open 1.00pm – 4.00pm daily. The season runs from 1st April to 30th September.
Out of season it will be open from 10.30 to 12.30 in the morning of the first Saturday of each month (coinciding with the Farmers’ Market in the Square). Please see the ‘NEWS‘ page for any changes to these arrangements.
You may telephone the museum direct on the number below – leave a message & we’ll call you back. Please be aware that there may be some delay out of season.
We can cater for groups outside the opening times. Appointments are necessary for school visits, (please use our contact form). We recommend that all groups book in advance, even if your visit is during our opening hours.
Complete your visit with a look around the picturesque town, which has some fine examples of domestic architecture and a handsome church. Town Trail booklets are available from the museum shop.
There are several places where you can eat including local pubs and a restaurant. Details can be found on the ‘Location & Map‘ page.
The museum is manned by trained volunteers. During your visit, they will be able to help you understand what you are looking at & its context in Axbridge’s (or Somerset’s) history.
